i found the bar staff friendly and approachable. the location is excellent, placing me conveniently near the shops and the beach. my room was comfortable, and i appreciated that the hotel is very dog-friendly.
the view from my window wasn't particularly scenic.

missing lift lumpy bed
The absence of a lift was a bit of a surprise. Lugging my suitcase up those stairs reminded me of a workout I didn't sign up for. The room temperature control seemed to have a mind of its own, fluctuating between chilly and stuffy. I also discovered the bed wasn't exactly the pinnacle of comfort. I could feel the springs, a sensation not entirely welcome after a long day.

The room was large and comfortable! I had a very clean room and a great sea view, it was awesome. Plenty of tea and coffee were supplied, so excellent! The breakfast was good and the bar was well stocked with varied options for lunch or an evening meal.
The evening menu was limited.

This place had a great location! I especially liked that the building sits across from the town bus station with regular local services. The bus station links to Peterborough and Kings Lynn, and along the North Norfolk coast too.

thin mattress bird droppings
The ensuite bathroom WAS nice.
The mattress felt old. It was also VERY thin, offering zero comfort. The exterior wasn't pleasant either, as the windows faced old brick buildings. They were filthy. plus, the windowsill was covered in bird droppings.

the location was great, and the room had a partial sea view.
we couldn't get into our room until 5pm (i was really tired). the bathroom window would not shut, so it was freezing in there.

i visited a friend and the location was perfect for exploring. my room included a very comfy bed. the food in the bar was delicious and i appreciated the varied menu. i found parking at the pub easy and convenient.
